The Unforgiving: IRS

Remember during the Clinton administration that they promised to make the IRS friendlier?  The Clinton administration is now a part of the not so distant past and, obviously, so is that promise.

With a deficit that is growing at an unbelievable rate,  Aaron Zeff is finding that the IRS has changed its policy of being friendly.  As reported by the Sacramento Bee and KOVR Sacramento, Mr. Zeff’s business, Harv’s Metro Car Wash, was visited by two dark suited IRS agents who were there to collect his outstanding debt…4 cents!  That would be enough to make you roll in laughter, except when you get presented with a bill with penalties and interest equally $200!  That amount from an overdue IRS balance of 4 cents for four years.  Isn’t this the same IRS/Treasury Dept.  that has tax cheat, Tim Geithner, as its leader?

As the story goes the IRS did not send notices to inform Mr. Zeff of his balance, but did come  to collect on the bill four years later.  This from the same government who has sent out notices for the census informing you that you will receiving the census.  I guess when your spending billions to send out those census notices you need every cent you can collect.
