Do You Know The Constitution?

January 5, 2011 the 112th Congress was sworn in.  Each of the members was required to swear to defend the Constitution of the United States of America from all enemies foreign and domestic, and that they do this without any mental reservations.

It would appear that there is a conflict for many liberal Democrats (face it, all Dems. in Washington are liberals) with their pledge.  The pack of Democrats left over from the 111th Congress were responsible for many offenses against the Constitution.  The 111th Congress was the equivalent of vampires, sucking the life-blood out of the economy during night time votes.

The Dems in Congress are not the only offenders.  President Obama is the Offender-In-Chief. Currently the President is responsible for continuing an offshore drilling ban in opposition of a Federal Judge’s order to lift the ban.  The most recent illegal acts from the office of the President is empowering the EPA to regulate CO2 emissions without the legislation required to allow Obama to do such a thing.  The EPA is currently attempting to overtake Texas’ economy because Texas is outside the allowed CO2 levels as set by the EPA.

Let’s not forget the Health care Law is unconstitutional as well.  This, of course, was force fed to us by the President and nearly every Democrat in the House and EVERY Democrat in the Senate.

Liberals obviously find the Constitution an interesting piece of history, but no more than that.  You need not look any further than Ezra Klein as she explains :     “The Constitution is something that was written over  100 years ago and is so confusing nobody understands it.” I would like to reassure Ezra that although I am not a Constitutional expert, it seems quite clear to me and easy to read.  Ezra, can you read the Health Care Law?  Now that is confusing and hard to read and it’s less than one year old.

Joy Behar and Bill Press also go on to make fun of the Republicans for their Constitution-loving attitudes.  Bill goes further and explains that if the Republicans actually read the Constitution they will find the Right to Privacy an interesting read.  I’ll bet they would Bill, especially since they won’t be able to find it, because there is no prevision in the Constitution for a right to privacy.     This is as interesting as when a room full of law students laughed at Christine O’Donnell when she asked her opponent where the “Separation of Church and State” was in the Constitution.   It’s not in there either.

Reading the Constitution in the House would appear to be a very good idea, as many liberals obviously think there are provisions in the Constitution that exist, which do not.  There are Amendments to the Constitution that the liberal wish didn’t exist, i.e. the 2nd Amendment.  (The Right to Bear Arms)  Hopefully the liberals were paying  attention while the Constitution was read, but I fear they suffer from Constitutional Attention Deficit Syndrome.
