Russia Sends Bombers Over US Territory

Remember when Obama promised then Russian President Medvedev, “This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” .  This being in context of nuclear disarmament and missile defense draw downs.

Now Obama wants to unilaterally cut the US nuclear arsenal by one third, without any agreement from Russia, China or North Korea.

What does Obama get for all his good vibes and his Kume-bah-ah Presidency?

The Air Force confirms that two Russian bombers on Tuesday circled the U.S. island territory of Guam, prompting U.S. jets to scramble and respond.

Two U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter aircraft, operating out of Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, intercepted the Russian Tu-95 bomber aircraft, which left in a northbound direction, said military spokeswoman Capt. Kim Bender.

The Russian bombers were equipped with nuclear-tipped cruise missiles.

The incident occurred shortly before Obama’s State of Confusion speech.

Nothing more came from this incident, but it was clearly muscle flexing by the Russians.  Putin knew this would happen shortly before the SOTU.  It was planned as such.

Obama will go ahead with his nuclear draw down, believing good vibes will make Putin a good man.  Putin is putting Russia on the fast track to becoming the USSR again and a weak US is all he needs to help complete his mission.  If the US continues to cut military assets and new technological developments the Soviets can easily afford to surpass us.

Mark my words this will happen.  Obama shows no willingness to confront the potential conflicts of the future (and this will be near future) from any aggressive country.  Most people younger than me (I’m in my 40’s) will not remember how timid President Carter was with aggressive States, but Obama is making Carter look like a War Hawk.

Polling numbers show the only area Obama is above water on is foreign policy.  Of course the press has helped bury the Benghazi debacle and Fast & Furious, but will the press bury this?  Yep!  This is too easy to bury.  This never happened as far as the main stream press is concerned.  Outside of Fox, no other TV news station will touch this.

Strap in folks, it’s going to be a long bumpy ride to military mediocrity.
